PREVNet
Promoting Relationships & Eliminating Violence Network (PREVNet) is a national research and knowledge mobilization hub focused on youth relationship problems such as bullying and teen dating violence. PREVNET is a collaborative project comprising of 130 researchers from 30 academic institutions and 60 youth-serving organizations. This collaboration aims to address and reduce youth interpersonal violence and promote healthy relationships through assessment and promotion of evidence-based based prevention methods.

Through this unique partnership model, PREVNet connects research, practice, and policy to foster healthy relationships among children and youth. Its work focuses on four key strategies: education, assessment, intervention, and policy. Together, these efforts build the capacity of adults and organizations supporting youth by co-creating and sharing evidence-based resources, training, and programs. PREVNet continues to expand awareness, strengthen research capacity, and promote effective policies that reduce bullying, address teen dating violence, and contribute to an equitable, caring society where young people thrive.

Co-founded by Dr. Wendy Craig and Dr. Debra Pepler, PREVNet is now based at the University of Calgary.
